Frodo

CLICK ON PIC FOR ALBUM

Frodo is a 7 year old retired, neutered male dog.  He is a very timid, awkward guy that takes some time to warm up to new things and people.  He would be best in a quieter home with a lot of patience and time to help him adjust.  He was whelped and raised by an older couple that did not socialize him well at all, and those insecurities have stayed with him it seems.

He is 15lbs and try as we might, he doesn't gain weight.  He is allowed food 24/7, but just slowly picks at his food as he desires.

Frodo absolutely LOVES very young puppies and if a young puppy is raised with him, he accepts them even if they are left as an intact male as adults, but doesn't play well with most adults he meets as adults.  He can coexist with girls that aren't extremely dominant, he does NOT do well with other adult males, and is not critter friendly.  He has not bothered our indoor cats but he is not left unattended with them, he will chase outdoor cats.   He is not poultry/bird friendly.

He would not be best suited to home that likes to travel with their pets, or go to town or walks, etc.  I don't think he would ever adjust to that level of activity.  He is a homebody, and really does bond well with a trusted special person.   He is quirky and awkward but so sweet and loving to the right company.

He is fully vaccinated, neutered, crate trained.

He should be adopted by someone local enough to pick him up, as I feel he would be very stressed in any commercial travel arrangement. (flight or commercial ground)

He will have a minimal adoption fee.
